Privacy Policy

CelpipVerse ("we", "us") is a CELPIP test-preparation app operated by Erol Gurcan, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in identifier when you create an account (via Google, Apple, or email sign-in handled by Google Firebase Authentication).
• Practice content: your written answers, speaking recordings, and answers to practice questions — this is the core of the service: we score them and generate coaching feedback.
• Learning data: scores, progress, study goals, exam date, and coaching history, used to personalize your study plan.
• Purchase data: subscription status via Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details.
• Device basics: timezone and app version, used for correct daily scheduling and support.

How your content is processed

Written answers and speaking recordings are processed by AI language models (hosted on Microsoft Azure) to produce scores and feedback. Your content is used to serve you — we do not use it to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Where data lives

Data is stored in cloud services operated by Microsoft Azure and MongoDB Atlas, and authentication by Google Firebase. Some providers process data outside Canada (including the United States); we rely on their contractual safeguards for such transfers.

Retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) — this permanently removes your account and learning data from our systems. Note: deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription; manage that in your Apple ID settings.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing erolgurcan90@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

CelpipVerse is intended for adults preparing for the CELPIP test and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We'll update this page when the policy changes and adjust the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
